Wyealth privacy policy
The short version. Wyealth is free and works on your phone. Your numbers never leave your phone. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Once a day the app checks our server for updated tax rules and reference data. That check tells us roughly how many people use Wyealth, and nothing about you.
What the app keeps, and where
Everything you enter in Wyealth, such as monthly spend, savings, rough investment totals and your answers, is saved only on your phone, in an encrypted database. We have no copy and no way to read it.
- The data is kept out of Google cloud backups, on purpose.
- If you lose or reset your phone, the data is gone unless you made an encrypted export file yourself (see below).
- We never ask for your name, phone number, email address, PAN, bank account or employer.
The daily data-update check
Tax rules, inflation figures and other reference numbers change. So that the app stays correct without you updating it, it asks our update service at most once a day whether newer data is available.
What the app sends: the app version, whether it is Android or iPhone, and two yes/no flags ("first check today" and "first check this month").
What it never sends: your name, any ID for you or your phone, your location, anything you typed, any result, or anything from the app's database.
What we keep: only totals, such as "1,240 checks today" or "8,300 phones checked in this month", split by app version and platform. These totals are how we know how many people use Wyealth. We do not store the internet address your phone connects from, and we cannot tell who sent a check.
What comes back: data files signed by us. The app checks the signature and ignores anything that isn't genuine.
You can turn it off in Settings. The app keeps working with the data it already has, and we stop counting your phone.
What we don't do
- We don't collect or sell personal data.
- We don't use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or attribution services.
- We don't read your SMS, contacts, location or bank statements.
- We don't send what you enter to any AI service. "Ask AI" only copies a prompt to your clipboard. If you paste it into another service, that is your choice, and that service's own policy applies.
Things you choose to share
Sharing is always your decision, and each sharing screen shows exactly what will be sent.
- Share cards, My money picture and PDF summaries are made on your phone. Share cards show levels and percentages only, never rupee amounts, names or employers, unless you turn those on yourself.
- When you share through WhatsApp, LinkedIn, email or another app, that app's own privacy policy applies from that point.
Encrypted export and import
You can save an encrypted copy of your data, protected by a passphrase you choose. We can't recover the passphrase or the file. If you forget it, the file can't be opened.
Permissions
- Fingerprint, face or phone lock (optional): used to unlock the app. Your phone handles it; the app only learns "success" or "failed".
- Internet: only for the daily data-update check above.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. You can also use Settings → Delete all my data. We hold nothing linked to you, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.
Children
Wyealth is meant for adults. It isn't directed at children under 18.
Not financial advice
Wyealth gives estimates from numbers you provide, to help you learn and think. It doesn't give investment, tax, insurance or legal advice. For your own situation, ask someone you trust or a qualified professional.
Our website
This policy also covers wyealth.com. The website has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts, and it loads everything from our own domain. The site is delivered through Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare handles the requests needed to deliver the pages to you. We don't add anything on top to identify or follow you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the effective date, and say so in the app's release notes.
